Ten Mile Fiber is part West Heritage Farm nestled in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania Many of our fiber products are sourced from our own fiber flock and neighbors’ flocks raised with love and care. All of our roving is produced in our on-site mill
We’ve stocked our virtual shelves and we’re spinning and dyeing more fiber. Our hand painted yarns will be stocked soon.
We love fiber from beginning to end. In the beginning are the sheep in our own fiber flock. We raise an assortment of sheep with a particular focus on breeding and care for superior fiber. We use this fiber for natural colored and hand dyed locks, batts and roving. We use our Belfast Minimill fiber processing equipment to make our roving and yarn. We also offer a selection of raw fleeces, carded batts and blended roving as well as handspun yarn from our own fiber (sometimes blended with purchased fiber and fleeces). Because we love dyeing, we also hand dye yarn from other producers.
We are excited to share our end products with you.
We hope that you love our products too.

What type of sheep do you have? We have a small flock of Cheviots, one of Finns, one of the longwools, (Leicester, BFL, Border , Cotswold, Teeswater) some merino crosses and a flock of Shetlands. We also have a flock of Texel sheep for medium wool fibers.
Why so many different types? I’ve selected individual sheep for their fleeces.
Who is we?. We are Lynda and Howard and an assortment of fiber friends who drop in for a day or two a week during busy times. Danny, our border collie thinks he’s a people, too.
What is the Belfast Minimill? Belfast Minimills is a manufacturer of equipment for ‘cottage industry’ sized mills. I have several specialty pieces of equipment that allow me to process pounds at a time instead of ounces at a time.
We want you to be happy.
